Seaside Seabird Sanctuary的点评
点评：This is an easy place to stop for anyone interested in birds or wildlife. Seaside offers a simple self-serve walk though to see a variety of birds. There is no admission fee, donations are welcomed with a small donation box near the entrance.
A short walk leads to a lookout with nice views of the beach and pelicans close by in the trees next to the lookout. There are some benches to relax and take in the local sounds, but don't sit under a tree since there are many non-resident birds that hang out in the area.
I think this is great for families even with small children. You can stay for a few minutes and quick walk through or take your time - whatever your group is in the mood for.
I agree with some past reviews that it would be nice if someone was available to tell you the story behind how some of the birds got there or where they are in the rescue/recovery process. A couple guys were cleaning one of the cages and a lady was in the small gift shop but I didn't see any other staff. I still wouldn't knock the star rating over that with it being a come and go as you wish type of outing.
It would be nice if some of the birds homes had a small window for taking photos. A lot of cameras have tough time focusing past the wire cages.
