点评：This puffin trip was at the top of my bucket list. I was in Iceland one winter and the birds had already fled for the season.
I was determined to make it happen. The trip was sold out, but I checked back every day for weeks and finally got incredibly lucky when a cancellation opened up on the last day of the season! I secured my ticket just two weeks before the trip.
All I can say is WOW—what a day. We saw tons of puffins, landed on Seal Island, and had an incredible experience watching the birds. The sketchy and foggy weather worked in our favor. Puffins actually LOVE it—they were everywhere! Thousands of them. And you absolutely can get great photos with your iPhone, so you don’t need fancy camera equipment.
A huge thank you to Abby, Anna, and Captain Bob (who took us out on his birthday!) for making the day so fantastic. The crew was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole adventure so much fun.
I've been to Maine before and the second I got tickets, I booked the airline ticket and rental car. The Bluebird Hotel nearby is an excellent choice if you're going on this trip. Be prepared for the adventure--it can be misty (the boat has ponchos) and cold, so prepare accordingly. If this is on your bucket list, DO IT! And if it’s sold out, keep checking for cancellations—you never know when your lucky day will come. Thank you, Bold Coast Charters, for making my puffin dreams a reality.
