Nankai Ferry的点评
点评：I took the ferry from Wakayama Port to Tokushima with my wife and two friends. Here's how the trip unfolded:
1. We bought a Nankai Ferry ticket for 2500 yen at Tengachaya Station. This included the train to Wakayama and ferry to Tokushima. You can also buy a ticket from Namba or Shin-Imamiya.
2. After one hour and 15 minutes on the train, we arrived at Nankai Wakayama Station and transferred to another platform. From there, we rode one station (4 minutes) to Wakayamako Station. There was only one person on the train other than us.
3. We went straight onto the ferry from Wakayamako Station. There are no shops or restaurants at all around this station.
4. The ferry took 2 hours and 15 minutes to reach Tokushima. From there, a 20 minute bus ride to Tokushima Station (250 yen).
The ferry was basically empty. There were 7 other passengers in addition to us (I counted them). We basically had the whole place to ourselves. There are vending machines, sleeping areas, and a business center where you can plug in your laptop. You can buy drinks (including beer), noodles, soft drink and ice cream. There is also a large undercover seating area up on deck, as well as smoking zones.
Also, a very smooth ride. I was sitting there wondering when we would depart, then looked outside and realised we'd already left port. A sturdy old vessel, she is.
There are 8 departures a day to Tokushima, and it runs 24 hours. Definitely beats the bus. I will use this service again.
