Magical day's birding in Kigali surrounds
Birding and Educational Tours Rwanda的点评
点评：Claudien organised an excellent day of birding for me at very short notice. I appreciated being collected and dropped off at my hotel in Kigali.
The morning was spent walking the trails at Nyandungu Eco-Park with guide Sylvere. The birds were active with a total count of 52 species. My highlights were Spot-flanked and Double-toothed Barbets, the latter with a nest. A pair of White-collared Olivebacks represented a lifer for me.
We then moved on to Umusambi Village for a few hours with driver Alex. Our luck was in as a group of Grey Crowned Cranes were feeding right next to the viewing platform. Fantastic photographic opportunity!
Sylvere's birding knowledge and spotting skills were outstanding and he certainly knows his bird calls. He was very professional and helpful and is highly recommended.
I can always count on Claudien to arrange a memorable birding experience. He wasn't available himself on the day but hopefully next time. Thank you!
