Closed When We Arrived at 2 PM (Plus Good Tips on Parking Discounts!)

点评：We were looking forward to checking out this science museum and purchasing three Adventure Combo tickets for admission plus an IMAX movie. However, when we got to the door, a sign stated they were unexpectedly closed due to a power outage. They had also posted the closure message on their website. It was a good thing we didn't buy tickets in advance, since we live out of state and were leaving the area the next day.
I had researched this place beforehand and found out about a 25% parking discount. To get it you have to: 1) park your vehicle in the parking deck at 220 W. 6th St. and save the parking receipt, 2) go to the admissions deck to receive a 25% off coupon sticker for your receipt, and 3) apply the discount when exiting the parking deck. Parking would have been $18 with the 25% discount. They lost out on that money from me, but I paid NOTHING because they were closed. Since we were parked for such a short amount of time, there was no charge.
The museum also missed out on $93.14 from my family. They received not a single penny from us because they were CLOSED at 2 p.m. on a Tuesday when we arrived. What a shame, as I spent my money elsewhere instead. For anyone interested, the 10 best science museums in the U.S. are:
