点评:The glass bottom boat ride stole the show, but there’s a lot this park has to offer. We arrived early Jan 2nd as the steam was coming off the water. Such a neat experience. We expected to hike most of the day, but decided to take a break. The look out by the Sea Hunt dock was closed due to a tree falling on it. The Mansion was neat, lots of ground to cover on the Rt 40 side of the park. BTW - suggest to bring your own printed colored map (trails are color coded). It’s well marked, but they don’t offer out maps. We drove over to the campground area - impressively large sites. I would come back and stay in my RV. The Pioneer Village was closed, but looks really cool! The museum was also closed. Both are opened Saturday/Sunday (we are there on a Friday). Lots of tails, but next time I’m brining my bike!
As mentioned the glass bottom boat tour stole the show. We took the 90 minute tour at 3:00 pm. You will need advanced reservations for this, we booked about a week before and got one of the last time slots the 2nd day we were in the area. I was more impressed with what we could see outside on the glass bottom boat (my only negative). The captain gave a lot of info, answered lots of questions and offered to make sure we got any photos we wanted. We saw fish, turtles, gators, lots of birds, manatee (potatoes) and monkeys!
