点评：We went to see Night of Illumination as we do each year and each year it is different. This year was great! Our guides were helpful and many of the stops were very enjoyable, in particular the colonial in the small house who stayed in character. Please do more of this.
On the minus side the worst was the person showing what was in Grandma's Trunk. If I was able to, I would have skipped this portion of the tour. It was boring, hard to see and the person doing the presentation was not sure if she was in character or not. Fifteen minutes of my life I cannot get back.
Refreshments were offered in the tavern but to be honest it was an embarrassment. There were two types of soups and a large empty chaffing dish. I think mine was vegetable and my husband had some sort of chicken. One might think on a cold night a cup of soup would be a welcome treat. NOT SO! It was watery, salty and all around disgusting judging from the one spoonful I choked down. In years past the refreshments were actually pretty good a fun little addition to the nigh however, they have gone down steadily. In my opinion do what my mother always said, " If you cannot do something right don't do it at all!"
