A Spelunk-tacular Birthday Adventure!

点评：Having come to Grand Caverns for a geology field trip in high school and LOVING it, I booked a tour for my boyfriend and I for his birthday. Please do yourself a favor and book the well-priced tour to explore these caverns! We had such a fantastic time. The trip was approximately an hour and an half and very well-paced. Naturally, there are some spots to watch your step and head, but the gravel trail is a very easy walk. Our tour guide, Lori, was phenomenal. She was incredibly informative, enthusiastic, personable, and flexible. When the lights malfunctioned during part of our walk back (which we found exciting), she handled it so calmly and professionally. We are definitely considering the more adventurous Gauntlet tour with her. The caverns are also simply stunning! The rock formations, particularly the shields and flowstone are unforgettable. It’s an other(under?)worldly experience in a historically significant and geologically unique site. And check out the gift shop, too, which is well-stocked with curated souvenirs. I especially enjoyed the new prints and stickers that feature art of the caverns!
