Cave and Sand Bar Swimming

点评：We booked a last-minute trip to the cave using Get Your Guide. You get a hotel pickup which drives you 30 minutes to a tiny village. Then you board a local boat which goes out to a sand bar for snorkeling. After than the boat takes you to a jetty where you can walk five minutes to the cave entrance. People need to be willing to explore or experienced with Indonesia attractions. There is a rough path to the cave but no handrails. The lower levels of the cave are also somewhat slippery so go slowly.
The cave itself is unlit (our experience was much darker than the TripAdvisor photo suggests). We were there at about 10:30 in the morning but apparently the sun will reach into the cave in the early afternoon which might make for a better experience.
Have said that our family really enjoyed swimming in the cave and looking down into the water. It is about 30 feet deep, but the water is clear. You can also hear bats overhead, but we did not see any. We were the only people in the cave for about 20 minutes and really enjoyed this little adventure.
I suggest taking a waterproof flashlight if you have one to get more out of the experience.
