点评：3 Island Tour…terrifying! Unfortunately for us the winds were too strong, resulting in an extremely rough ride and people thinking the boat we were in would capsize. The trip should have been cancelled before we headed off, or at minimum cancelled shortly after taking off. We were told there was a rough section between Thursday and Roko Islands as we went through open water, so we were expecting a little bit of rough, but this was next level, with 3-4m swell throwing the boat side to side and up out of the water. So much so, the boat stopped working and we had only one propeller. At one point the engine was off altogether and we bobbed like a cork, terrified we’d go over. We limped into Roko Island, where they got the boat working again for the last 20 minutes back to shore. All of this took away from the rest of the tour, which without the waves would have been lovely. Horn Island is a visit to the WWII museum and quite interesting, although you’re left to yourselves to explore it. Lunch at the bowls club on TI was sensational, and the tour of TI given by Dirk interesting and entertaining. Roko Island a cute and quirky place to see, and they make great cocktails. Nigel the caretaker is a hoot. Hopefully they will not let others experience what we did on the water. But I won’t be back.
