Okefenokee Swamp Park的点评
点评：Our visit was a little disappointing, especially because of the swamp’s somewhat famous reputation. On our first day we went to the east entrance for a kayak trip and the sunset boat tour. We have a lot of experience kayaking and had a great time going about 2 miles into the beautiful route. The staff didn’t really do much but tell us our kayaks were on the bank and to just head out whenever we were ready, so we went in completely blind. We would have liked a basic map or at least a summary of the route. The sunset boat tour was definitely worth it. Our guide was obviously very passionate and we saw some great wildlife and breathtaking views. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to see the swamp from a unique point of view. On day two we headed to the west entrance and were unfortunately underwhelmed. To be fair it was a Sunday on off season, but we still expected a little more. It seemed like there was only one person on staff and we couldn’t get any real information. A note on the boat station said it and the train didn’t run on Sundays, which I didn’t see anywhere on the website. I guess we should have looked closer? All of the exhibits were empty and the animal enclosures looked horribly neglected. The whole place felt abandoned, it was really unsettling.
