点评:A bread making course as a Christmas present? Oh well, I’ll give it a bash!
Come May 7th I went with my wife and a certain amount of trepidation but need I have worried. Not a bit of it. Alan and Carol made us so welcome, we felt at ease straightaway. Everything was provided and all points were explained to us so we knew why we were doing each action. Alan is a true professional with such an ease of delivery and depth of knowledge, we were left amazed by the whole process.
Carol supplied the coffees and showed us a very interesting bread making video while we enjoyed coffee and cake during a pause while the dough rose.
We finished up with bread, baguettes and brioche to take home and a “we made it ourselves” pizza each for our lunch in their conservatory. As part of the bread making included sour dough using yeast generated by Alan that morning, we were given some yeast to take home. I am so longing forward to telling people I make bread with 47 year old yeast. I won’t explain that bit here; you will have to book a course to find out.
It was sensational. If that wasn’t enough, Alan does other courses as well. Just you try and stop me from going on them.
One other point. When Alan says bread only takes 20 minutes to make, he means it because it really does.
