点评:Oh my gosh, what a wonderful museum. A group of 4 of us friends visited the center yesterday. It is fascinating to see the history of rocketry of the US. I was positively gobsmacked by the level of engineering and mathematical excellence that made it all possible. The exhibits are very engaging, you can imaging yourself being cramped in those tiny capsules perched atop those gigantic rocket engines & being flung into space! One exhibit has you stand under a model of one of the rocket engine and experience virtually a rocket blastoff, cool!
The weather exhibits were also very interesting. One exhibit has you sit in a small room to have a sensory experience of what it’s like to be in the middle of a tornado!
One awesome aspect is being able to see the size of the various rockets that made these launches possible. They’re HUGE! We would have spent more time in the outdoors area where more spaceships and aircraft are on display, but it was too dang cold! Hopefully I’ll be back at a later date and be able to experience this first hand.
There is also an extensive space camp program area for kids, which is very impressive.
