点评：While there were moments of genuine beauty in the town’s views and a few glimpses of its former spirit, I couldn’t ignore the heavy sense of decline that seems to hang over the place. The effects of economic hardship are visible not just in the environment, but, at times, in the atmosphere among people.
Several encounters I had left me disheartened; I found some individuals to be rude or unnecessarily aggressive, with attitudes that felt rooted in a harsher, outdated mindset. It cast a shadow over what I had hoped would be a warm and welcoming experience.
The town itself reflects this struggle. Empty storefronts and run-down buildings create an impression of neglect, suggesting a place that could benefit greatly from renewed care and investment.
Bridlington still has the framework of a classic seaside destination: the amusements, the coastline, the familiar attractions, but it left me wondering: beyond these surface features, what more does it offer visitors today? For me, that question remains unanswered
