点评:We started off our journey from Manchester where we boarded the Northern Rail from Manchester to Sheffield. After getting down from the station, we met some of the locals that were extremely friendly, much more than what I expected which was really welcoming. We asked them about where we could start off on our trek and they gave us the required directions. One thing to note is that on the way up the hill, there would be a gate that says "Road ahead closed", but that is the path that you have to go down on. My friend and I went on a side route and got a bit lost for a while until we had to backtrack and go back up the right path again.
After reaching the top, there are lots of opportunities to take great pictures. You can head back in the same direction that you came up (which is precisely what we did) or you can continue walking straight ahead from the top and take the other route down - not much of a difference between the two.
Finally, we went for a drink at The Anglers Rest. The staff were really friendly and their cask ales were top quality. Overall, the entire trek took us about 2 hours with the beginning being the most challenging bit. There is a more direct route where you can start off almost at the top and I suppose I'd recommend that if you aren't feeling all that energetic to climb from the base.
