点评:Unfortunately, our experience visiting this store was extremely negative because of the way a staff member spoke to our daughter.
We’re not locals and were visiting the area as a family. Our daughter is 3 years old, and naturally, when she saw an area with toys, she went over to look at and interact with them. The staff member approached her directly and told her that, because of other people playing with things they shouldn’t, the toys were now broken.
I found this completely inappropriate. She is three years old. If there was something she wasn’t supposed to touch, the appropriate thing would have been to speak to us, her parents, rather than make a small child feel like she had done something wrong.
If the store contains fragile items that children are not allowed to touch, that’s absolutely understandable, but then this needs to be clearly communicated or displayed. If the space is simply not suitable for young children, put a sign at the entrance so families can make that decision before coming in.
Also, this is an antique store. Some items are naturally going to show signs of age and wear, so blaming children for the condition of the toys felt particularly unnecessary.
What should have been a nice stop during a family day out was completely soured by one comment and the way it was handled.
If you have young children, I would not recommend entering this store.
