点评:I have been visiting Panshanger Park for many years and used to love it so much, but I will not be returning. What used to be a beautiful, open landscape has been ruined by heavy fencing and barricades. It feels like management is trying to hermetically seal the entire place off from the public. To make matters worse, visitors are hit with a heavy parking charge. I used to be completely happy to pay this fee because I believed it went toward the general upkeep of the park. Sadly, management has instead used that money to fund an ugly maze of fences that locks the public out.You can no longer even see the river in places. The Dog Dip area is completely blocked, leaving absolutely no access to the water anywhere. Management will likely claim this is for wildlife protection or erosion. However, for all the years I have been coming here, the wildlife and visitors coexisted completely fine without any issues. The real damage happened over the course of just one summer, when crowds of people started hanging out by the water all day long like they were at the beach. That single season of heavy crowding caused the bank erosion. Instead of dealing with that specific issue, the park's response has been to fence off the whole park
