点评:The hike difficulty is a 4/10, and this is coming from someone with plantar fasciitis and can’t walk for more than 20 minutes without a break. We went around 1:30pm.
Note: Come early if you plan on getting an audio guide because the visitor center closes at 3pm and you need to return the audio guide before they close. We wanted to get it, but we didn’t want to rush our hike, and we weren’t sure if we would be back by that time.
By the end of the hike, my health app told me I took about 7,000 steps. It took us about 1 hour and 20 minutes round trip to complete the hike, at a very leisurely pace plus many photos at the top. It took us 35 minutes to climb to the top, we admired the view for 15 minutes, and 30 minutes to get back down. We went on a cloudy / overcast day which probably made the hike much easier, but we still sweated A LOT. There are no bathrooms or water stations along the way, just at the visitor station, so stock up on water and use the restrooms there. Shoes/sneakers are definitely recommended as the terrain is rough and rocky. But the view at the top is definitely worth it.
