Puteri Harbour的点评
点评：I came for a one-day weekend exploration of another western part of Johor Bahru. This time it is not to Gelang Patah, not to Bukit Indah but to Iskandar Puteri, Kota Iskandar, Medini City and Eco Botanic.
There is one bus J44 from Larkin Bus Terminal to Iskandar Puteri. I decided to alight at the last destination which is Puteri Harbor. The bus fare is RM3.20. I have thosai for my breakfast at Larkin food center before boarding the bus. Puteri Harbor is not very big not like our Harbor Front. There are only two ferry destinations: Harbor Bay at Batam and Tanjong Balai at Karimum. I made enquiry at the counter and was told that a two-way ticket to Batam cost RM195 for an adult. I am not sure if it is a lot cheaper than the ferry tickets sold at our Harbor Front in Singapore.
I came out of the ferry terminal and strolled along the waterfront to the docking area for the luxurious pleasure crafts. The waterfront is quite windy but desolate and quiet. I noticed few of the restaurants along the waterfront had closed down including a Thai restaurant by the name of Kampung Carabao. This place lacks the dynamism and vibrancy. I am not sure if the night scene is more attractive. The sand pit at the children's playground is also cordoned off for maintenance. I observed a gym is in operation and the public toilets are well-maintained.
I spent about half an hour at this Puteri Harbor. It is a nice place for a morning meditative walk along the waterfront. From here, I strolled into Kota Iskandar and subsequently walked my way to the Mall of Medini.
