点评：I was very impressed by this place. You learn so much about the Mills family and their Gilded Age lifestyle...wow! This was surprising. I didn't realize how truly opulent the estate was during its peak. The mansion has been kept in fair condition, with some areas in need of restoration. That's understandable since the place is 79 rooms! You see a lot of original decor and lavish furnishings. There are so many items throughout the rooms, left just as they were, allowing you to see so many fascinating details of the era. And, the grounds overlooking the Hudson are lovely for a long walk. Stunning views with a great breeze. Our guide was truly knowledgeable and provided excellent insight into the history of the estate, which made the visit even more special. Good gift shop, too. WELL worth a visit for history buffs and anyone who loves Gilded Age mansions."
