Exmouth Indoor Market的点评
点评：Our visit to Exmouth Indoor Market ended up being a complete contrast between two businesses.
Sadly, the café experience was utterly miserable. The atmosphere felt grim and uncomfortable from the moment we walked in, despite us being the only customers there. The lady serving was abrupt and unfriendly, giving the impression we were more of an inconvenience than customers.
The sausage sandwich was honestly awful — squashed, slimy sausages in dry bread that felt stale and unappetising. The tea and coffee somehow managed to look and taste grey, weak, and unpleasant. Everything about the café felt joyless and neglected, and we left bitterly disappointed wishing we had gone elsewhere.
However, directly opposite was the complete opposite experience: Martian Records.
What a fantastic shop. Bright, welcoming, friendly, and full of atmosphere in the best possible way. Marcus, who runs the shop, clearly cares deeply about both the records and the customers. He was warm, approachable, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in.
Martian Records is exactly how an independent shop should be run — passionate, inviting, and enjoyable to browse. The shop has real character and positive energy, and it was easily the highlight of our visit to the market.
While the café completely ruined our mood, Martian Records restored it. We will absolutely return to Marcus’s brilliant shop again.
