Peaceful, elegant and truly beautiful Byron Bay beach.

点评：Wategos Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches I visited in Byron Bay. It has a very special atmosphere — peaceful, sheltered, elegant, and naturally stunning.
The beach is smaller and quieter than Main Beach, with soft golden sand, clear water, and a relaxed Byron Bay feeling. It is a wonderful place for swimming, walking, sitting on the sand, or simply enjoying the view. The water felt calm and protected, which makes it a lovely spot for families, couples, and anyone who wants a more peaceful beach experience.
I also loved the location. Wategos sits below Cape Byron Lighthouse, and from the end of the beach you can take the steps up towards the lighthouse walking track. It is a beautiful combination: beach, ocean, headland, coastal walk, and lighthouse views all in one place.
There are picnic tables and beachside BBQ facilities, so it is also a great place to spend a few slow hours with food, coffee, and ocean air. The whole area has a barefoot, relaxed, but slightly exclusive feeling, with beautiful homes tucked behind the beach and a very calm atmosphere.
If you are lucky, you may even see dolphins in the waves. Even without dolphins, the scenery is unforgettable — blue water, green headland, surfers, and that soft Byron Bay light.
Wategos Beach is a must-visit in Byron Bay. It is not just another beach; it feels like a quiet little paradise at the foot of Cape Byron.
