点评:Bannack State Park — A Step Back in Time
Our stop in Dillon, Montana, took us just a little off the beaten path and straight into Montana’s past—Bannack State Park, a wonderfully preserved Old West ghost town.
Bannack was once a booming gold-mining town, filled with miners, merchants, families, saloons, and all the excitement that came with striking gold. Today, the streets are quiet, the buildings stand weathered by time, and you can almost imagine what life must have been like here more than a century ago.
We wandered through the old buildings and down the dusty streets, imagining the people who once called Bannack home. There’s something fascinating—and a little eerie—about seeing an entire town left behind, with its homes, businesses, school, hotel, and other buildings still standing.
Dillon itself was a fun stop for us too. We were enjoying the Montana scenery and that unmistakable feeling of being out West. And, of course, the hubby managed to find a river and immediately started thinking about fishing! 😂
Bannack was one of those unexpected stops that made our trip even more memorable. No crowds, no rushing—just history, beautiful Montana scenery, and a little glimpse into the wild and rugged life of the Old West.
Another great stop on our Summer to Remember adventure. ❤️
