Ipanema Cafe - Bar的点评
点评：There are hotels with marble lobbies, matching bathrobes and a small army of people trained to smile at you.
And then there’s Ipanema Hotel in Tigaki.
Old school. Basic. Spotlessly clean. No bulls*#t
And absolutely brilliant.
The real reason you come here isn’t the building. It’s the people. Terrie and Dennie are the kind of hosts who somehow make you feel less like a customer and more like you’ve wandered into the home of friends you haven’t seen for a few years.
That’s increasingly rare.
There’s a proper family feel to this place. People talk to each other. People remember your name. One beer becomes another.
A cocktail appears. Then another. The sun goes down and suddenly you realise you’ve been sitting at the bar for hours and have absolutely no desire to be anywhere else.
The beers are cold. The cocktails are fantastic. The rooms are simple, clean and exactly what they need to be.
No pretence. No unnecessary luxury. No attempt to turn Greece into some sanitised five-star resort experience.
Just good people, good drinks, warm nights and genuine hospitality.
And really, what the hell else do you need?
Terrie and Dennie — you’re absolute stars.
Ipanema isn’t just somewhere you stay in Tigaki. It’s somewhere you become part of the family.
