Today’s activity absolutely amazed me in every possible way. If you are simply looking for a basic activity to fill a few hours of your holiday, then this may not be for you. But if you are looking for something much more meaningful, this is a real life experience.
One important thing to know is that the day is not set in stone. You have a planned itinerary as a base, but your guides adapt the day to you, your interests and how the day unfolds. They will even suggest additional things along the way when opportunities come up. This flexibility is a huge part of what makes the experience so special.
Ken and Bilhaq were absolutely amazing. We started the day as clients with our driver/guide, and somehow, we ended the day feeling like we had made two new brothers. ❤️
To sum up this incredible day:
We started with Babak Pelangi Waterfall, which was part of the activity. But Bilhaq also turned out to be an excellent photographer, and we ended up having an amazing spontaneous photoshoot. 📸
The photos are incredible, and we are going home with a beautiful portfolio to remember our honeymoon. The photoshoot itself was not included in the original activity, which makes this gesture even more special.
After that, we were curious about durian and had the chance to try some. And honestly… they were excellent!
The day continued with rafting. Keep in mind that this is not necessarily the best time of year for rafting because the river was quite low, but we still had 20 minutes of pure fun, laughter and adrenaline. 😂
After the rafting, we sat down with some locals in a small wooden hut. Once again, the surroundings were absolutely incredible.
Rerantek and its jungle are exceptional. It genuinely feels like being in an enormous outdoor classroom with a natural pantry all around you: bananas, cacao, durian, jackfruit, coconuts, coffee, raspberries, avocado trees and so much more.
And the best part is that Ken takes the time to explain everything to you: what each fruit is, when it is ripe, how to eat it and when the perfect time is to enjoy it. By the end of it, we were completely full! 😄
And then came the highlight of the day: visiting the village.
This is where you truly travel. You don’t just visit a village — you experience it. You sit, talk, laugh and share a moment with the local people.
We even had the opportunity to share a meal with the locals, even though the meal was not included in the activity.
And honestly, this is exactly what made the experience so special. We were no longer simply tourists visiting a village. We were sitting there with the locals, eating, talking and laughing together. It felt like a genuine glimpse into their everyday life.
After several days in Lombok, I can honestly say that this activity was the biggest highlight — and the biggest surprise — of my trip.
Of course, my wife and I were lucky enough to receive some very special attention from Ken and Bilhaq. But if you have made it this far in my review, I am sure that you will be looked after just as warmly by Ken and Bilhaq.
Thank you both for this incredible day, for your kindness, generosity, laughter and, above all, for sharing these moments with us.

最棒的是，Ken会花时间向你详细讲解一切：每种水果是什么、什么时候成熟、如何食用，以及何时是享用它们的最佳时机。到最后，我们简直吃得饱到不行了！😄
接着便是当天的重头戏：参观村庄。
