点评:Don’t miss this and don’t let the location fool you. Yes, it is located in a very industrial looking part of Cheboygan, but it doesn’t matter once you get inside and see what great pains the Great Lakes lighthouse Association has made to re-create the perfect timeframe that this lighthouse existed. Like stepping back in time to the 1940s or 1920s. The lighthouse keepers on staff are volunteers and were fabulous with telling us about the lighthouse. It’s history and answering any questions. Go ahead and ask them what the difference in a standard lighthouse and a range lighthouse is absolutely fascinating. They pointed out-many things that we would’ve missed. The tour is free. The gift shop has reasonably priced T-shirts and sweatshirts and other souvenirs. Renovations are done using donations, grants, and sales from the gift shop. We were happy to contribute donations. It was well worth it. They even have an old radio in the living room playing 40s music as well as an old Sears catalog from the 40s, absolutely darling.
