点评:I don’t know which is worse, management or the place we stayed in at in Litchfield by the Sea. First off, these are all condos. If you have to stay here, learn from me and go to VRBO/Airbnb and rent after reading the unit reviews. The upgrades Litchfield by the Sea advertises do NOT include furnishings, that’s up to the owners of the units. Our unit was like staying at an old worn motel. It’s not what we paid for nor what we expected. The two beds in our unit were horrible. You could feel the springs! The sheets were pilly and there was a hole in one. Housekeeping changed them out for more pilly sheets. Sheets are supplied by Litchfield by the Sea, not the owner. Relatives stayed in another condo in the same building and had the same sheets. The sofas in both of our units were visibly older. Ours was soiled, theirs was pilly. The extra chair in our relative’s unit looked comfortable, but when you sat on it, there was no padding and it was like sitting on wood. We had no internet, then we had to forgo a nice walk on the beach for well over an hour when the Spectrum employee tried setting it up. He actually complained about that place saying it was his least favorite as nothing ever works. Management said a maintenance man was supposed to be there with him when an outside workman was on the premises, but there was no one. Some maintenance person painted the walkway where we stayed and didn’t put up a sign. We walked in wet paint. Our tread marks show on the threshold as evidence. Lucky for them, we realized it before stepping on the floor inside. A salesperson will call you shortly after you arrive at your unit to invite you to an hour meeting. They say they aren’t like Timeshares. No, they are trying to sell you a condo. We didn’t go, then they called again. I didn’t answer, so they texted. Management flat out lies to their guests. First they told us the building we were in was the only condo and no, they all are. Without asking, management offered to give us 20% off due to no internet. When we were to leave, I asked for a receipt to show we did get 20% off. They said they’d email it to me, but I wanted it in person. She would not produce one, trying to stall in every way she could. She wouldn't give me credit on my credit card either. She lied in any manner of ways and I finally left, knowing full well she never had any intention of giving us the 20% off. But, why offer to begin with and then lie?!! And she never listened to me about all the issues we had. After everything I said, she turned to me and said, “are you the people who had a bat in your unit?” Ha, no and I don’t think I’d want a bat in my unit. Especially on top of everything else! The indoor pool in our building wasn’t open, so we used the main indoor pool, which is ¾ miles away from our building. The already shallow pool had 6” less water than it was supposed to. And so did the small hot tub. If you want to move along in the lazy river you would have to push yourself along as there is no current at all. False advertising. It appears they are trying to cut costs in every way they believe they can get away with. They pour the money into the landscaping, so the outside looks beautiful. Not true for what you can’t see. There are NO standards for rentals as they don't check out the furnishings. The awful tasting cake has a premier frosting. Don’t let the coating fool you! What a shame. If it was run well, it could be a great place. Fire the management team, listen to your guests. We will not be returning.
