Friends of Oak Island Society的点评
点评：Well, for someone who ISN'T a fan of their show and who dejectedly "went along" on the tour to be a good sport, it was FANTASTIC.
Really. I had the absolute LOWest expectations, but we had a "guide" on our tram (Danny) whose been working on Oak Island since before he was even out of HIGH school in 1973, and he's been working for Oak Island since then. He knew EVERYthing about EVERYone. He had a dry sense of humor. The other, like, 50 attendees on the tour with us were all sorts. They asked him about the show itself, the "big stars" the minor players, the "legends" on the show (going back till 1790, the deaths, the money pit, the minor players, you-name-it). Danny knew it all and answered everything. The tram-ride was serviceable, but I'm glad we were able to ride. We'd get off at various "stops" and Danny would tell us what he knew about the Nobles, the Restalls, or whoever,...
Apparently, they only offer these Oak Island tours on the weekends, because they are currently filming -- until Oct 3rd or so.
Anyway, for someone like me who has a little of a "jaundiced eye" toward the show it was fanTAStic!! I couldn't believe how surprised I was at how well Danny did.
And there were military men, "bored housewives from NY," families with children, old geezers, young nerds, all kinds of folk interested in Oak Island on our tour yesterday, even one totally bored viewer from Williamsburg, and you know what? Even HE thought the tour was WELL worth it. Goodness!

不管怎样，对于像我这样对这个节目有些“偏见”的人来说，这一集简直太棒了！！我简直不敢相信自己竟然会对丹尼的出色表现感到如此惊喜。
昨天参加导览的人中，有军人、“纽约的无聊主妇”、带孩子的家庭、老头儿、年轻的书呆子……各种各样对橡树岛感兴趣的人都有，甚至还有一个来自威廉斯堡、完全提不起兴趣的观众呢。你知道吗？就连他也觉得这场游览绝对物有所值。天哪！
