点评：This was my second year attending Kynren, and once again, the sheer scale of what the volunteers achieve is nothing short of admirable. Their dedication is fantastic, and the evening show remains an absolute masterpiece.The absolute crown jewel of our entire day was "The Lost Feather" bird show. It was, without a doubt, one of the best bird shows I have ever seen in my life! It was completely out of this world to see so many birds flying incredibly low, right above our heads. That experience alone was worth the trip, and all of the daytime shows we saw were absolutely brilliant.We started our day at the Viking Village, which I loved last year. It was still great, and we got loads of wonderful photo opportunities with Vikings, Henry VIII, and Victorian characters. Because the Viking settlement was open almost all day, it was easy to find a slot to visit. However, having been before, I noticed a few gaps this year. Even though it was less busy, some areas lacked Vikings supporting the activities—for instance, no one was working the gardens or cooking.Because it is a fully packed day, we did face some major scheduling and timing challenges. I have poorly controlled diabetes, which means my medication and meal timings are critical. I tried very hard to plan our day in advance by emailing the Kynren team. Sadly, less than 24 hours before our visit, I received an email with rescheduled show times. Trying to replan everything at the last minute with strict dietary needs was incredibly stressful.Because we had to eat almost immediately upon entry due to my medical condition, and needed time to walk between stages, the gaps between shows felt very tight. Unfortunately, we completely missed the Victorian Experience because it had such a limited opening slot, being shut early from 12:00 to 14:00. Because of those specific midday hours and how our other shows were scheduled, we just couldn't make it work.For the Travellers Feast, we were explicitly told we must be seated before 6:00 PM. We raced across the site as fast as we could from our last show, only to be told upon arrival that the feast didn't even open until 6:00 PM! We could have easily taken our time rather than rushing if we had been given the correct info.That being said, the staff at the feast were wonderful. The food was tasty and well-made (though not strictly authentic), and the service was great. The staff were incredibly supportive of my dietary requirements and even packed the leftovers in a box for me so I could eat them later when my blood sugars stabilised. The only downside to the feast layout was the seating; we had to sit opposite each other, which meant one of us had their back to the stage and missed the speeches from the different historical eras.Despite the tight timings, our VIP evening show tickets topped off an amazing event. The staff throughout the site helped us wherever they could. I will definitely be back in the future, especially to experience the evening show and the breathtaking "Lost Feather" once again!
