点评:My husband and I attended the cowboy cookout last week with our 4 year old daughter and we all had a great time! We arrived at the stables around 4:45 PM for orientation and were back around 8 PM. You are assigned to your wagon prior to arriving so there is no need to try and get there first. Morgan and Eric were assigned to our wagon and were both wonderful. They gave us some history of the park and an overview of the wildlife and plants on the way to the cookout. We saw a black bear with cubs and a coyote while in our wagon! Once you get to the dinner location, you can either sit at a picnic table that is under a covered pavilion or sit outside. Given the number of people at the cookout, we shared a table with another family who also had a 4 year old, so it was fun for my daughter to make a friend. During dinner, you have an opportunity to meet with/pet the horses if you want. After dinner, one of the "cowboys" told a story by the campfire while another one played some songs on the guitar. Then it was time to head back to the stables. The staff were wonderful and seem to really enjoy their jobs. My family had a great time and I would highly recommend this experience, especially for families with children.
