Not so much of a perfect day

点评：I have been wanting to experience Royal Caribbeans private island Coco Cay since I went on my first cruise around 10 years ago based on the promotional videos and other things I’ve seen, however, after visiting I found it to be quite the let down. The staff were nice but very busy as two ships had docked on this day so was extremely busy, food and drink was good as always.
The letdown came to the island itself. It’s very beautiful and pretty but unless you’re a child there’s not much to do. All the “pools” are connected to the sea and full of little fish which I wasn’t expecting and as I have a fear of fish really freaked me out. All the amazing looking slides, wave pools and hot air balloon that they use to advertise the day are an extra paid expense. I did expect the hot air balloon to be but not all the slides and non fish pools. If you did want to access this area it was over £100 per person which felt extortionate.
There was lots of excursion activities to do which I had thankfully booked swimming with pigs and was an amazing time. This however also felt a bit of a scam as if you weren’t able to take your own photos in the water with or of the pigs, staff were there taking photos which you had to scan a qr code to access later in the day and then purchase any wanted photos, this was not through Royal Caribbean’s photographers as I expected so I was unable to redeem one as my free diamond member photo, although I don’t believe these were too outrageously priced. I would recommend doing this activity if you’re able to as it was a lot of fun and does feel a little bit of a two in one as you get a speedboat ride as well to get to the pig island.
I wish there was a more accurate or accommodating way to experience a perfect day at coco cay. The island was lovely to look at but I won’t be hurrying back in the future as it felt like a money grab.

有很多岸上游览活动可以选择，幸好我预订了和猪一起游泳的项目，玩得非常开心。不过，这个项目也让我感觉有点像被坑了，因为你不能自己和猪一起在水里拍照，工作人员会帮你拍照，你需要扫描二维码才能在当天晚些时候查看照片，然后购买你想要的任何照片。这并非像我预期的那样由皇家加勒比的摄影师拍摄，所以我无法用我的钻石会员免费照片兑换一张，尽管我觉得这些照片的价格并不算太离谱。如果你有机会，我还是推荐你参加这个项目，因为它真的很有趣，而且感觉像是一次体验，因为你还可以乘坐快艇前往猪岛。
