点评:I was on a motorbike trip to Campbelltown snd arrived early so i thought i ought to visit the actual.Mull of Kintyre. I followed the little roads and through the mist i arrived atca locked gate. I could have done an about turn but decided to walk down. It was misty so i could not see how far down the road went. It turns out it was further than i thought...bearing in mind i was wearing armoured motorbike gear. Id say the descent is atleast a mile. Its worth it though. So after half an hour i arrived at the lighthouse and had a nose around. It is very atmospheric and beautiful and you can see Northern Ireland very clearly. I was lucky to meet a couple who were staying at the lighthouse. The gentleman Dave works for the lighthouses and his pleasant wife and son were staying there. They gave me a cup of tea and Dave told me some of the lighthouses history and gave me a little Scottish Lighthouses pin badge. What a nice man. I then headed back up the hill. Its some pull up. I'd say 1000feet or so. Not easy in motorbike gear. I was relieved to get back to the bike. It was now misty wet and cold so I didn't stop at the chinook memorial although this is a reason to return. I would recommend this great place but you need to be reasonably fit and remember you need to walk back up....
