点评：The Petrified Forest National Park is best visited by driving either from South to North, or from North to South, between the Painted Desert Visitor Center at North (near highway 40) or the Rainbow Forest Museum at the South (near route 180). Note that the park route at Rainbow Forest Museum runs through the parking lot at the Rainbow Forest.
The park features a number of overlook point (Painted Desert Inn, Hozho Point, Pintado Point) showing great painted desert view at North; A Newspaper Rock that see over 650 Petroglyphs and a Blue Mesa showing colorful geology in the middle; and a great Paleontological Museum at Rainbow Forest in the South. The agate house trail brings you to an ancient house constructed by the petrified wood and is super interesting. The park is definitely worth a day trip.
