Big Museum in a small town
National Museum of the Pacific War的点评
点评：My wife and I were in Fredericksburg last week, mostly to see the spring flowers (spoiler: there were none, its too dry), check out the wineries, and do some hiking. We had no clue that we were in Chester Nimitz' home town, and did not realize such a great museum was right off main street. We are from the New Orleans area, and have likely the best museum in the country, the World War II museum, so we were not expecting much. Long story short, this museum packs a punch, and could easily keep you well occupied for a full day. The size and scope of the museum incredible, and all the exhibits thoughfully done. I'm a history buff while my wife is certainly not, but she was even very engaged and curious about how the history unfolded. I felt like Fredericksburg is a bit of a tourist trap (although there is a good bit to do in the surrounding area), but if you're passing through, don't miss this gem!
