点评:Worthwhile visiting, although I have to agree it has seen better days. The colectivo dropped us off on the highway right in front of the park ($30 mxn from Campeche). After a short walk from the highway, go through the tunnel under the train tracks. The entrance fee was $100mxn (nationals) and $200mxn (foreigners) which is twice the price posted on Campeche Go and Turismo Campeche. Of the two springs, the further one is larger; be careful as you enter the water since the rocks are quite slippery. It is much easier to enter the first spring although I only went into the second one. The water temperature was very comfortable; I was expecting it to be cold but it wasn’t. Little fish nibbled at my feet and legs; it didn’t hurt, but was startling at times. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. The remnants of the zipline are visible; it is no longer a working system.
There is a 2 km path going over the river and through the jungle. It’s an interesting and easy walk, but do look out for roots, and yes, there were some mosquitos there, which were annoying, but not at all overwhelming. At one point, we encountered the sign for the return (retorno), but we couldn’t see the path to continue so instead of finishing the loop we went back the direction we came from. The neatest sight along the path was a group of badgers (tejones o pizotes).
