点评：I read all reviews and almost made a turn back when I say a very old statue at the corner before going all the way in, but we decided to drive around and found the main campus of the shrine.
Yes, it is a bit spooky…it looked an abandoned land guarded by a senior volunteer. Yes, some might find the info that the volunteers share upsetting based on their personal views.
To me, the fact that the altar by Mary was the most beautiful place, surrounded by flowers that were so beautiful that looked fake (but weren’t), shows me that Mary and
GOD are there. Even at the foot of the skeleton of the church that looked straight out of a movie about the apocalypse.
Yes, the crucifix is disturbing..yet it must have been that bad…
The old man was so happy that we were visiting. He wanted to share his love for the shrine. He was struggling to remain standing but his mind was sharp enough to do the math (for adding taxes) in a notebook when I bought a rosary.
We’d never seen anything like this site…it’s unique. It was just my husband and I and another man and we were fine. We walked the grounds and the volunteer welcomed us with an open heart.
When you go, just remember, just look at the roses by Mary’s altar….she is there.
