点评:First things first if you have a RV or a camper you will NOT be able to go thru the tree~ I saw other reviews of people upset about this~ it's a living tree (315' tall, 21' wide and 2,400 years old) and slowly carved out inch by inch for sedan and SUV's to pass. If you have a larger vehicle you can still visit area but will have to drive on the side and avoid the tree and go directly to parking lot.
We saw signs on the road stating 1/4 mile away to the Drive Thru Tree ~ why NOT!! There is no Drive Thru trees available in Redwood Forest/NP. At the gate you pay $20 drive a quick length through this private forest and reach the tree (fold side mirrors in). It was NOT Crowded and we were able to take our time and drive thru and take plenty of pictures.
There was decent restrooms next to the VERY large Gift shop which also was very nice a little bit of everything here. Between the Tree and the parking lot there is an area with lots of wood carving interesting to walk through.
