点评：If you are in the New England area St Ann’s is a 90 min drive from Boston and worth the drive. Recommissioned in the 1940’s the entirety of the interior depicts REAL frescoes by Guido Nincheri. Spanning over an 8year period to complete; Nincheri frescos include depictions from new AND old testament. (Something you don’t often see in Catholic Churches). He used locals as actual models in some of the murals! For example, the fresco of Jonah was the church janitor! Admission was $15 per person and tours are avil on Sundays from 1-4 April through end of Nov. The building is completely supported through donations and volunteers. The stained glass is UNMATCHED directly from Shark France. As well as an imported Carrara Marbel alter, statues, and a banner. Make sure you ask about the window that was saved from a bombed church post wwII from Eastern Europe. There is also a very interesting factoid about what was left behind by the church when it was decommissioned in 2000. Make sure you ask about it- there are four of them. ;) You have total access to walk around and take pictures using any cell phone camera. You can even go behind the pulpit! If you enjoy art, history and culture- this is a true hidden American gem.
