点评:Pro: It is free to enter the main grounds and walk around parts of the attraction and gift shop. You can see pineapples grow and learn history on plaques. Only costs are if you choose to eat something, shop or buy train tickets
Con: employees shouting out to you, very tourist/cheesy execution to get you to try their tiny samples of expensive snacks. Jewelry stands encourage you to buy overpriced tiny gold necklaces, pearls and charms in the 1,000s on payment plans.
Parking lot is shared. Reserved areas for tourist buses and tours. Very foul mouthed ladies outside - was not sure if they were employees of the busses, parking lot or plantation.
Something to note: Dole sold a lot of their share in the plantation and operations. There are only a handful of items labeled as “Dole” everything else is off label, copy righted reuse of characters with a new plantation name on them. Prices on merch were fair but it missed the mark with me for some reason.
We bought several food items to try. Purchase at self serve kiosk and pick it up by a number system. Employees were rude, felt like cattle.
I think you can get equal or better tasting treats elsewhere.
The highlight: bathrooms were clean, spacious and ADA accessible.
