Crowded on Saturday, Great tour guide
Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory的点评
点评:It was interesting to see how baseball bats are made. My tour guide was a young man who did an excellent job! The tour consists of the guide talking as well as viewing some videos. Look around during the videos--there are often more than one screen showing the same thing, so you should be able to see the video well.
The website says that they are making bats every day. We just saw the machine where the chop off the ends of the bat and sand it, as well as a machine stamping the logo on the mini bats that they give out.
It is quite noisy during the tour, so try to pick a time when there aren't many people there, or stay close to the guide. There is a nice little souvenir shop where you can buy typical souvenirs as well as actual baseball bats. They can also personalize bats.
There is an area in the museum in which you can hold a bat from greats such as Babe Ruth. There's a whole wall of these bats. You enter this area in your group and one of your group members can take a picture of you in front of a backdrop. I was by myself, so I asked the family behind me if they would be with me in a group and take a picture of me. It worked out well.
I enjoyed my visit!
