点评:Many reviewers have noted the odd (rude) demeanor of the museum host. I’m going to go out on a limb and speculate that, given that this person has devoted her career to promoting learning about Archimedes, there may be a bit of neurodiversity at play. I don’t think she’s a nasty person trying to be rude, I just think social interaction isn’t her strong point. You don’t come to the museum to hang out with her, but rather to learn about this absolute genius from Ortigia. I didn’t know anything about Archimedes before coming and I was blown away. SOME of the models are interactive and some are not - I get that can be frustrating to kids, but given the number of people coming through, they have obviously determined that the wear and tear on some of the models would be too much. The models are actually beautiful and incredibly constructed. The descriptions on the wall next to each model are kind of weird, but you can skim them for context and use AI on your phone to look up more as needed. It’s just such a rare opportunity to see this genius’ creations in the context of his hometown. I’m by no means a math or science person, but this little museum was a real highlight for me.
