点评:This beautiful building, seat of the Vermont General Assembly and the Governor's office has the nickname "the People's House." We didn't have any checking of bags, could leave our rain jackets and umbrellas in the lobby and had a guided tour with lovely lady Lisa who was one of the volunteers on duty that day . A State house policeman was happy to take photo with me too. We felt that this is really "people's house", everybody was kind and helpful and there were no special restrictions for visitors. Lisa did great job, showed our group of about 9 people Senate Chamber, Representatives Hall, Governor's office, the Cedar Creek Reception Room, the Hall of Inscriptions and more. She pointed to some details we would probably not see ourselves. We were so lucky to get such a good lecture about the house, it's history, elected people who were working there, decorations, paintings, etc. - many thanks Lisa. In the lobby is small gift shop if you would like to buy some items as a memory for this visit.
