Marie Selby Botanical Gardens的点评
点评：I realize that I am a dissenting voice, but we were deeply unimpressed by this botanical garden, and found the entry price dramatically in excess of the value afforded. As a passionate gardener, I go to botanical gardens to see fine specimens of plants presented in an aesthetically Elevated and natural environment. I was astonished to see many dozens of plastic plants, including plastic boxwood plants positioned on top of fake mushrooms, cardboard pink flamingos everywhere, and a limited selection of naturally beautiful plants to see. Interspersing these fake elements among the real plant material cheapened the whole look of the garden dramatically. This was not just in one spot of the garden, but distributed throughout in large and gaudy displays. The most beautiful part of the gardens were the few large,mature trees, which had breathtaking displays of roots in wonderful natural patterns. Unfortunately, this was the minority. I don’t go to a garden of this type to see fake butterflies, fake plants, cartoon cut outs of fake flowers and fake mushrooms. Perhaps this would appeal most strongly to a small child. If I could’ve asked for my money back, I would.
