A relaxing visit to a beautiful community.
Smith Island的点评
点评：I just returned from a two night trip to Smith Island with my daughter. She has visited twice in the past, but this was my first visit. I have been wanting to visit this beautiful island for a long time. It was charming and the people we met were all friendly.
We went to the cultural center and learned about the history of the island and the people. It was well done and had a very nice gift shop. I learned a lot there, and I learned even more on our boat tour with Mark Kitching of Smith Island Eco Tours. He is so knowledgeable and showed us the baby pelicans!
We enjoyed crabs and crab cakes at the restaurant and of course we ate several slices of smith island cake. We also tried the yummy pimento cheese BLT from The Roost and enjoyed talking to the shop owner.
We walked and biked all over the island. The sunset over the marsh was beautiful.
We met so many friendly people.
We had a relaxing visit and I look forward to visiting again.
