Old Alabama Town的点评
点评：Original and replicated buildings and artifacts. A great 3D, real life, tangible exposure to old Alabama (and Southern) life. It’s like walking through time when wandering the grounds and buildings. Budget about two hours for the whole experience (maybe more if you “soak in” the experience). We accidentally stumbled upon this area when travelling to the Capitol, so we decided to check it out. It was confusing as to where to get admission but we eventually found it - the Lucas Tavern at N. Hull & E. Jefferson Sts. It’s primarily a self-guided, self-paced tour on two neighboring blocks. There is also a limited (and highly recommended) guided tour of the Ordeman-Shaw House & Grounds across the street. The staff is extremely insightful and friendly. The location is a short 5–10 minute walk from the Residence Inn and Home2Suites hotels. (It’s also on the way to the state Capitol area.)
