点评:We visited tourist information on our first day of a week’s stay in Metz. Extremely helpful staff member, who could speak English, but was patient in letting me try practising my French! Loads of helpful information given, especially for the City Pass, which we bought for 16e each. Lots of benefits, Pompidou admission, 1 day travel pass (which we used to visit Laquenexy fruit gardens and the botanical gardens) a guided tour of Metz, and multiple discounts on activities (petit train!) and free drinks in restaurants, free tote bags at FRAC gallery etc. You obviously only use each benefit once, but there is no time limit to use during your stay. If you are planning to visit the Pompidou, which is amazing, then this pass is a no brainer. Also to mention Metz has a great bus system, but the centre is totally walkable, and there are even two free buses, (81 and 83) which shuttle around the historic centre, and out to the Pompidou, which is just behind the railway station. Bus map from tourist information really helpful. What a great city!
