A Quick but Worthwhile Stop on the Icefields Parkway

点评：Driving the iconic Icefields Parkway from Banff up to Jasper is packed with incredible scenery, and Tangle Creek Falls is one of those easy, no-effort stops that’s definitely worth pulling over for.
You’ll find it right by the roadside, which makes it perfect for a quick 10–15 minute break to stretch your legs and take it all in. The waterfall cascades down a series of rocky steps, creating a really nice layered effect, especially after rainfall when the flow is stronger. It’s not the biggest or most dramatic waterfall along the parkway, but it’s still a lovely little stop to break up the drive.
There are also basic facilities here (yes, toilets...which you’ll quickly learn are gold dust along this route), so it’s a practical stop as well as a scenic one.
That said, it’s not without its downsides. When we visited in the middle of the day, it was pretty busy, and a few people were climbing up the falls trying to get more dramatic photos. It did make it a bit tricky to grab a clean shot and slightly took away from the natural feel of the place.
If you’ve travelled to places with more dramatic waterfalls around the world, this probably won’t be the one that blows you away. But that’s not really the point here, it’s about the journey along the Icefields Parkway, and Tangle Creek Falls is a solid little addition to that experience.

Not a "must see" destination on its own, but an easy, worthwhile stop if you’re passing by, especially if you need a quick break or a leg stretch.
