## 🌟 **Good Stay, but Manage Your Safari Expectations in the Rainy Season**

We recently stayed for a night at the Bandipur Tiger Reserve under the Viceroy package. Overall, it was a pleasant stay with great hospitality, though nature had its own plans for our wildlife sightings.
### **The Rooms & Ambience**
The **Viceroy package rooms** were clean and very comfortable. Thanks to the breezy night weather, we didn’t even need to turn on the fans. It was incredibly refreshing.
### **Food & Dining**
* **Lunch:** A decent spread with a good variety of items, though taste-wise it was just okay.
* **Dinner:** Absolutely delicious! The *Gulab Jamun* was the absolute highlight of the meal.
* **The Bar:** There is an on-site bar (drinks are charged separately). However, the **snacks ordered at the bar were below par** and definitely have room for improvement.
### **The Safari Experience**
To be honest, the official safari felt a bit boring for us. On our drive *to* the resort, we had already spotted plenty of deer, elephants, and peacocks.
> **💡 Tip for future travelers:** A lot of people visit hoping to see tigers and leopards. However, during the rainy season, the dense new bush growth and abundant natural water holes deep in the forest make major predator sightings very rare. Come with the right expectations!
### **Service & Staff**
The staff here is incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special shoutout to these members who made our stay comfortable:
* **Venkatesh** (Food/Dining) – Great service during meals.
* **Sangappa** (Room Service) – Prompt and helpful.
* **Abdul** (Safari Guide) – Courteous and knowledgeable.
**Verdict:** A solid place to unwind with good hospitality, but plan your safari expectations around the season you visit!
