点评：As others have mentioned - DO NOT BOTHER to go the Marble House. Not only is it under construction, but they are filming a TV show, so they have either blocked off rooms completely or some of the rooms are in disarray and not viewable through the mess they created. I contacted the Preservation Society of Newport and this is what happened:
They claimed it was preservation construction and listed on the website - NOT TRUE. This is not just for preservation, this is also because they are allowing TV crews to use the property. I responded that NOTHING ON THEIR WEBSITE indicated any construction or filming. They ignored my response.
When I followed up more than a week later, they said "thanks for the feedback". They did not apologize or offer to compensate. We spent $100 on a "tour" that was missing so much. Had we been informed, we could have visited another mansion. They should lower their entrance fees and reimburse those who were not made aware.
It is surprising and shameful to be treated this way by a non-profit. I am considering filing a complaint with the RI AGs office.
