点评:During our 2-week vacation in Japan and while staying in Kanazawa, we decided to take a day-trip to the Noto island (about 1-hr train from Kanazawa) to enjoy a biking tour on the island. There we met Shota and Hajime our guides for the day. The day was divided in 2, in the morning, we biked on the island where we have been explained more about the community life of the islanders (rice culture, fishery). The circuit is very accessible, no need to be a confirmed biker, the land was mostly flat and we stopped often to receive some explanations. On that day the weather was also perfect which of course helped making this whole experience something unforgettable. After the bike tour, we enjoyed a soba lunch and we continued with a glass making activity. Of note, those 2 last activites are extras. From our 2 weeks in Japan, this day on the Noto island (which was badly hit by an earthquake on the 1st of January 2024 and still recovering from it) was definitively one of the highlight of our stay in this beautiful country. Many thanks to our very kind guides passionate about their region and culture.
